Music Videos, 1998-1999

Special tenacious situations and special effects from e.g. Terminator 2, When Harry Meet Sally and TVC to music by 'Easter Song' by A Man Called Adam is used to create a narrative. The imagery and narrative is not about the music but works along side it to create a new reading of the music.

A continuing stream of violent but beautiful visual and special effects mixed with cheerful images and sound such as clapping. Clips from e.g. Terminator 2, When Harry Meet Sally, Independence Day, Twister and Die Hard to 'Lebanese Blonde' by Thievery Corporation. The very pleasurable music undermines the sometimes horrifying content of the imagery and levels it out with clapping and laughter.

A potpourri of repeated movements of imagery from the movie 'The Asphalt Jungle' and font signs dancing across the screen to 'The Schematics' from DJ Vadim's record 'USSR Reconstruction'. A play with the idea of dance to music and how to represent this desire in music videos.
